After joining the Canadian Ski Cross team in 2008, Whistler's Barr quickly went from a mid-pack racer to the front. He won his first World Cup in Park City in 2008 and finished 3rd at the World Cup stop in Cypress, CAN, in 2009 -- the same hill which will host the 2010 Olympics. A technical skier who starts fast, Barr has competed at WX since 2003. He has one WX medal in UltraCross, a silver earned with snowboarder Xavier de le Rue.

Davey's Accomplishments

Finished third at the 2009 World Ski Championships in Japan. Had never finished higher than 22nd in two previous Worlds. … His best performance at a World Cup event in ‘09 was a third-place finish at Cypress, Canada, in February. … His only World Cup win was at Deer Valley, Utah, on Feb. 2, 2008. … Has had 30 top 10 finishes in World Cup events.
