Jim Wazny
Motocross
Losing most of his left leg in a freak motocross accident in 2000 didn't keep Jim off a bike for long. He still races at the local level and even finished second in the Vet Expert class in his local series in '09, and he took 4th in '09 XG Super X Adaptive. Since he grew up riding snowmobiles, he decided to race those, too, and took silver in the 2010 Winter X Snocross Adaptive event. Father to Hailey (age 10) and Austin (age 12, who also races), Jim works as a prosthetic technician at Wright & Filippis and puts on life clinics to help other amputees achieve their goals. Will use an artificial knee designed and built by fellow competitor Mike Schultz.
