Sarah Burke

In memory of

Sarah Burke grew up Midland, Ontario, where her dad taught her how to ski. After originally skiing moguls, Sarah started freeriding and quickly fell in love with the sport. She became a major proponent for getting women into the X-games in 2005 and is now a regular on the podium. Sarah currently lives in Whistler, British Columbia. Many say that Sarah is the standard by which female skiers are measured. You can find her in many ski films including Matchbook Productions new film Push.You can also find her in the major motion picture Boy Eats Girl. Outside the ski lodge, Sarah made FHM's US 100 Sexiest Women 2006 list. AWARDS 2007 Best Female Action Sports Athlete ESPY & Bert Award 2001 Female Skier of the Year (ESPN)

on January 19th 2012 Sarah left us after a skiing accident in Utah.
Rest in peace you pioneer woman.
