Your ALINES will ship with instructions for confirming that they fit your individual arch length. In the vast majority of cases, arch length will correspond to shoe size.

You can definitely run in your ALINES, competitively or recreationally. ALINEs differ from custom orthotics because they have built in suspension zones that allow the foot to move naturally.  In turn, this allows the rest of the body to move naturally and with optimized alignment.  Your wide feet shouldn't be problem, for two reasons: 1) By re-establishing the transverse arch, ALINEs usually allow the foot to displace less width; and 2) ALINES have a gasket-type edge design that rolls outward to widen the insole if necessary.

Your ALINEs align your body and legs ensuring all the power from your legs are transferred directly to the ground. Direct transfer of your energy maximizes your force and allows you to perform at a higher level

By properly suspending and supporting your foot, ALINEs allow your foot to position itself naturally. Standard footwear and insoles force your foot out of its natural position, these improper foot positions create uneven forces on your knees, hips, and body.

Yes. Trim your ALINEs to the shoe which is shortest in length. Also, be sure to take your ALINEs with you when you buy new shoes so you don't buy a shoe that is the wrong size and volume. Remember to remove any factory sock insoles, if needed.

Thick socks hold moisture, and are not recommended with ALINEs. Use a thin tight knit micro-fiber sock, liner socks are fine to combine as well.

It will jam in the shoe and possibly feel like the arch is too high. The toes may feel crowded because the end and sides of the insole is curling up against the shoe. Remove your ALINEs and trim enough material off to allow the end and sides of your ALINEs to lay flat. There should be between 1mm and 2mm of room between the shoe and insole.

You have several choices, purchase a new pair of ALINEs, taper the front edge using a sanding device, or you may find the shorter ALINEs fit in tight athletic footwear like ski and skate.

You may feel the support in the transverse arch in the front of your foot and you may feel taller.

We suggest a brush, mild soap and warm water. Wipe dry your ALINEs.

Ensure that you have removed the stock insole that came with your shoes before inserting your ALINEs and re-lace the shoe to accommodate the new system.

For 80% of consumers, the insoles will last approximately 12 months depending on body weight, type of shoe and the environment they are used in (i.e. walking, work and sports). Because everyone is different, we can not indicate how

A properly aligned body is less prone to injury and will allow you to remain active longer. By aligning your knees, uneven wear of articular cartilage is reduced, increasing the long term health of your knees and body.

Your ALINEs are supporting and suspending your foot differently than they have ever been before. You will feel the support in the forward transverse arch immediately. The muscles and tendons of your feet will require time to adjust. Please refer to our troubleshooting page for help. If the pain persists remove your ALINEs and contact a medial professional.
