    New England's own Seth Wescott once again captured Olympic Gold in Snowboard Cross...on ALINE!  Wescott, of Carrabassett Valley, Maine, defeated Canada's Mike Robertson in a come from behind victory.   We would like to thank Seth (and Maine!) for once again bringing home the sport's highest honor.  GO SETH!

    Other finalists on ALINE included Nate Holland of the U.S.A. (4th) and Rob Fagan of Canada (5th). In all, eight of the Olympic contenders are athletes on ALINE, and we would like the congratulate them for competing on the ultimate stage:

    In a recent ESPN survey reported on barefootrunner.com, more than 1 in 3 Americans said that they'd be willing to try running barefoot. This attitude is part of growing awareness that shoes simply aren't making our feet healthier, or our performance better.

    In a popular New York Times Magazine article this year, Adam Sternbergh makes the claim that "You Walk Wrong" It's a fascinating article that we highly recommend. Sternbergh explains and sheds some light on the biomechanical issues that ALINE holds dear.
    But there is a problem... Mr. Sternbergh, like many well-intentioned barefoot advocates, fails to notice the 500 lb. Sasquatch in the room: its name is PAVEMENT.

    I met Shane in Tahoe in 1997.  Red Bull was a tiny, start-up subsidiary in a little office in L.A., and it was athletes like Shane who helped make everything go. For a long time, one of the only ways to get  a can of Red Bull in America was from Shane McConkey's garage in Truckee.  What could be cooler than that?

    The ALINE team headed west this month to outfit athletes at Winter X-Games 13 in Aspen, Colorado.  With an already strong presence in winter sports from ski and snowboard to snowmobile, ALINE's buzz spread quickly throughout the Games.  Top athletes like Travis Rice (Winner of Snowboard Big Air) and Lindsey Jacobellis  (Olympic Silver Medalists and winner of Snowboard Cross) were quick to endorse the performance benefits of the ALINE BFAST suspension system.
