Ski

ALINE was born in the mountains, when founder (and cliff jumper) Gordon Hay first began stabilizing his feet using duct tape and bar napkins. Almost 20 years later, we’ve built Gordon's career knowledge into the world’s best foot suspension system. Here’s what ALINE does for your skiing:

  • ALIGNS your legs and ankles to give you a “flat” responsive ski.
  • STABILIZES your feet to eliminate discomfort and maximize performance.
  • SUSPENDS your foot structures, for balance and control you can’t get any other way.

ALINES have been in the boots of X-Games gold medalists and have nailed countless first descents and spectacular big mountain lines. They also make for happy feet and great days at the local hill. The bottom line: Nothing makes your boot work better.

Telluride, CO - ALINE athlete Matthias Giraud nailed the first-ever ski BASE descent of Ajax Peak in Telluride last week. According to Matthias:

"This jump was pretty challenging since we could not get a precise height of the object, the runway was pretty technical to ski, we were at high altutide (11000 ft which could delay your opening a lot) and the cliff was not fully vertical. Theref...read more

Shane McConkey, World's Greatest Skier 1969-2009

I met Shane in Tahoe in 1997. Red Bull was a tiny, start-up subsidiary in a little office in L.A., and it was athletes like Shane who helped make everything go. For a long time, one of the only ways to get a can of Red Bull in America was from Shane McConkey's garage in Truckee. What could be cooler than that?

For a mega-legend, Shane sure wasn't a massive ego. Confident, yes. But...read more
