About Mathew Hoffman

There is no conversation about the greatest BMX riders of all time that does not include Mat Hoffman. He is, perhaps, the most famous BMX rider on the face of the planet, and has been for many years. At age 16, Hoffman became the youngest pro the BMX circuit had ever seen.

Over 20 years later, Hoffman has compiled a resume that credits him for the invention of over 100 tricks, including the 900, flip faki, and flair (backflip, 180). Mat is in the Guiness Book of World Records, regognized as the High Air World Record Holder for clearing over 26 feet above a 24-foot vert quarter pipe.

Perhaps just as impressive as Hoffman's BMX career is his business career. Before the age of 20, the sports youngest and biggest start had already Hoffman Bikes and Hoffman Productions. Years later, Mat would work with ESPN, directing and hosting multiple television series. In 2002, Mat worked with Activision to create Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX 2 video game. His movie career includes appearences in the made for IMAX film Ultimate X, Jackass: The Movie, and Triple X, starring Vin Diesel. Hoffman has accomplished all of this before the age of 40.
