About Ross Powers
Powers competed in his first U.S. Open competition in fourth grade, at the age of 9. He competed in nationals the next year and was a world champion before his 18th birthday.
In 1998, He represented the U.S. in Nagano, and took home the first Olympic halfpipe medal for the U.S. Powers has been a giant in the snowboarding industry, and has won almost every title in snowboarding including Olympic gold in 2002, the Grand Prix at Mount Bachelor, and the 2003 U.S. Open halfpipe.
