After starting to golf at the age of eight, Scott was able to hit the ball past his father by the age of thirteen. Since then, Scott has won the 2002 Pinnacle Distance Challange and was a 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 World Finalist. He is the current World Record holder of 539 yards in competition from his Albequerque, NM, 2005 competition.
